Labor, ideas and skills: Volunteers contribute valuable labor, ideas and skills to hosting communities. We work extensively with volunteers to ensure their capabilities, desires and needs match those of the local community they will be living and working with. Without volunteers there would not be the necessary resources to keep projects running and sustained over time.

Diversity: Volunteers come from diverse backgrounds. The cultural exchange opportunities that they bring to communities challenge stereotypes, foster greater appreciation of different backgrounds and spur cross-cultural understanding.

Friendship: Volunteers come as open and respectful guests who seek genuine friendship with community members. As bonds are made between community members and volunteers, the web of human interconnectedness and understanding is strengthened.

Consulting: Our team has extensive international development experience, and consists of professionals with backgrounds in academia, international development and management. The experience and qualification of our team is directed towards assisting local partners in maximizing their potential and strengthening their capacity to better carry out their initiatives.

Funding: Volunteers pay a fee for their experience, a majority of which goes to our partners to directly support their continued community development work. This funding model is demand-driven and sustainable.

Impact evaluation: We work with our partners to measure the impact of their activities by providing technical expertise and qualified evaluation volunteer assistance. Research findings offer feedback that directly strengthens our partners´ capacities to support their communities, and generally contribute to better policy and practice in the field of international volunteering.
