We use a bottom-up approach to identify local development challenges and help mobilize the necessary resources to allow people to work together to reach common goals. We do so by working with volunteers and local partners.
We are founded upon the belief that any person, whether a local community member or an international volunteer, can make a difference in international development efforts. Our development model relies on the value of people-to-people cooperation. Unlike traditional models of development and foreign aid that depend on top-down official assistance flows, our model is based on the interaction of grassroots communities and volunteers like you.
Participants in our Immersion and Expedition programs bring to our hosting communities labor, ideas, skills and financial support, as well as human values necessary to establish mutual understanding and trust. Learn more.
We work with local non-governmental organizations committed to supporting grassroots development initiatives. We believe that they are in the best position to identify the needs of their communities and engage volunteers in meaningful collaborative work.
The relationships that we form with our partners are long-term and win-win because we believe that a stronger local partner is more capable of supporting the community it serves. Hence, we assist our partners in numerous ways. Learn more.
